IMPORTANT HINTS
Dont Fight a Army Which Is on a Big Hill or Medium Hill. Lets Imagine your enemies Army is on a hill{having 40 Axemen} and You Will Fight Him With Your (40 Axmen). Then He Will Completely Defeat You and he will have 10-15 Axemens left. Exactly Same Will happen with Cavalaries(Paladin , Scout) and Infantry(Pikeman , Champion).This Is Because Army Cannot Fight Properly While Climbing!.
Try To Avoid Those Battles Where Your Amount of Army is Less. For Example : Enemy vs You are Fighting with Paladin So You may Know the ResulT for Eg Enemy is Fighting You With 40 Paladin But You have 20 Paladin. Then You Will Surely Lose.And Your Enemy With Proper Army Control May Only Have 1-5 died Units and Not atleast 20!

While Not Fighting You Can Put Your Army in Defensive(This Will Help You to Fight Your Enemy Without Being Lost But Bad When Your Eco is Big As They Will Not Follow Your Enemy too Long EnougH) Putting Your Army in StandGround is Best as They Will not Get Lost(but They Will Not Fight Your Enemy in Such Cases Where You are Busy to Save them)Putting on Agressive is also good but You Have to take thier care as they will split too much and get lost!
Putting Your Army On Aggresive near Enemies Army Works Best as They Will Rush Extremely To Fight against Your Enemy.(I patrol Them on Aggresive near Enemies Units and it also Works same though)
Putting Your Army on Defensive near Enemies Army Works GooD But The Fault is that they will fight to defense and not get inside the army to Fight Intensively Well its good while Your army is staggered.
Never To Run Your Paladin on StandGround to Your Enemy without Exprience!
StandGround is Best With this Exprience Put Your Army On StandGround and Patrol(mark inside the centre of Enemies Army) as soon your army is inside than directly change your stances to defensive and repatrol. You Will notice You units will fight crazily like came out of prison.at this Moment you Will win the battle (if its Quite Equal) with more than half of your units left. This is because You are all Units Will Start Fighting While at the Same Moment Ur Enemies Paladins will Block Each other Ways and Fight Delayed.as MorTaL_ShArE by doing this is in top.!.But This needs a perfect timming . To know when to change stances to defensive and When to Repatrol.Which comes after doing this over and over again. by doing this theres also a chance to freeze your enemy's army. Hist units will stop fighting and just Run around like Crazy.(Be Exprienced other Wise = LOST!)
.You Noticed Your enemy is using this Strategy? What to do now? how to counter? When you Both run your Paladins into eachother. on standground . Flank them quite before the battle. and change to defensive and repatrol . Your Army will sorround his army. while his units where at one point and only will have few paladins Fighting anf You Will leave battle With most your army.

Then Send your 1 paladin too neat your enemies palading if they are standing Defensive or Aggresive so they will rush to fight Your One paladin. Bring your single Paladin near your army and Change Your Armies stances to Defensive you will fight for eg 40 vs 20 him and Win Easily.As he didnt watch his army you will leave battle with almost 28 Paladins left. Axemen ! Archered Units ! Mamelukes
These are Pretty Good In DM and Most Useful. But mostly must be kept on Standground back of other Units.

axes are weak. imagine a 40 vs. 40 axe war. if both players use line/standground formation it will be a pretty luck depending battle. For More Details Click Here
for those, who still dont know why i said that axes are weak twice: if you have your axes crunched like player 2, his axemen will shoot on dead bodies! they are taking 40 shots to one of my man. even tho 7 shots would be enough. while i flank him and kill one by one. thats much more effective.
draging in archer battles
this is a pretty amazing strategy you might use in random civ games. set your light cavs on passive and let them patrol on a short way. the shorter the way, the more your opponent will fail trying to shoot you. look how many arrows are besides my light cavs! light cav is the fastest unit in the game, champs or what ever will also do it, if you do it right.
evil trick (40 axes own 40 pals)
you might remember i was talking about " not practicable" tricks. this is maybe one of it, but maybe not! if your enemy is stupid enough to fight this.lets imagine, i see some enemy paladins coming to own my axes, i might aswell run back somewhere and probabaly lose some of my axes. but why not just fight if i can win the battle?for this we need a straight line, like the crater in the picture below. buildings, water or trees will also do a good job. the point is to crunch your axes as much as possible and as fast as possible (2-3 secs).first step, select your army and change their stance to passiv, if they are not on passiv, they will start attacking enemy units and you will not be able to set up a good crunch. patrol them straight into the crater.
